In the process of making wooden pallets, the wood pallet manufacturers must strictly control the moisture content of the wood and keep it within the specified range.

Before painting or sealing treatment, use a hygrometer to measure the moisture content of wood. Generally, the moisture content requirements of wood used outdoors and wood used indoors are different. Therefore, if the wood is left outdoors overnight or after rain before painting, the humidity will rise, so painting is not suitable.

Wood drying methods generally use natural drying or low-temperature drying. For rosin removal, most coniferous woods contain rosin. There are turpentine and rosin in rosin. Their presence will affect the adhesion and color uniformity of the coating. In the case of higher temperatures, the rosin will change from Overflow from the wood, causing the coating to become sticky.

The common method to remove rosin is to clean with organic solvents, such as alcohol, turpentine, gasoline, toluene, and acetone. It can also be washed with alkali to saponify the rosin, then scrub it with a brush or sponge dipped in hot water, and wait until the surface is clean. Afterwards, brush 12 coats of shellac paint on the cleaned part to prevent the rosin from the inner layer of the wood from oozing out.
